How long will it take for chiropractic to fix my problem?
There are too many variables to give a general answer to this question. There are many factors that determine the extent of your problem and your body’s ability to heal. Have you been in several car accidents or played contact sports in the past? Do you already have arthritis? Are you willing to make some lifestyle changes? This could mean adapting your work habits, taking the proper supplements, keeping to your treatment schedule and doing prescribed exercises. You see, getting out of pain and staying that way is actually a partnership. We will do our part. For best results, you have to do yours, too.

What kind of results can I expect?
Excellent results, or you don’t get to stay. We expect patients to feel some improvement after the very first chiropractic treatment. The path to total pain relief may have a few ups and downs along the way, but we expect positive results. If you aren’t making progress [starting to feel better] we will make other recommendations [maybe massage or acupuncture]. If our conservative methods just don’t work for you, we will refer you to an appropriate health care provider.

What kind of chiropractic technique do you use?
If you’re asking this question, you are no chiropractic rookie. Over the last century many different chiropractic techniques were developed. Chiropractic patients who are looking for a new doctor typically want to experience the same type of method that worked for them in the past. At Fink Family Wellness of Leesburg, we practice a number of techniques and adapt the treatment to meet the patient’s needs. We utilize: Drop tables [Thompson Technique] that minimize the force necessary to correct the misalignment; Diversfied [manual adjusting]; Activator [instrument adjusting]: Flexion-Distraction [Cox Technique—excellent for low back bulging disc]: Toggle [Upper Cervical Specific]. That’s just for neck and back conditions. If you have any nagging pains in the joints of the arms and legs, you’re going to love the next point.

Does chiropractic treat more than just back and neck problems?
At Fink Family Wellness of Leesburg sports chiropractic care is one of our specialties. Extremity joint pain [shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle] are extremely common. Most chiropractors focus solely on the spine, dealing primarly with neck pain, back pain and headaches. That’s all well and good but at Fink Family Wellness of Leesburg we take it a step further. Using muscle specific testing, we can diagnose the cause of your shoulder pain, elbow pain, wrist pain and numbness, hip pain, knee pain and ankle pain. And like our treatments for the spine, we expect and deliver exceptional results. You won’t have to be told your shoulder is getting better, you will know it immediately after it is adjusted. How does it work? We test the strength of a muscle. If it’s weak, it tells the chiropractor how the shoulder joint is misaligned. The chiropractor makes the correction and when the muscle is re-tested it’s strong. There is no guesswork. This system has helped thousands of patients avoid surgery and return to the recreation activities that bring joy to their lives.

What insurance do you accept?
We are preferred providers for Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna PPO and Medicare. We accept out-of-network benefits for other carriers as long as they pay us directly. Mamsi will only reimburse patients directly so they are one of the few exceptions. We also take assignment on personal injury cases. This includes auto injuries, slip and fall, workman’s compensation.

What if I don’t have insurance?
You can pay with cash, check or credit card. Initial examination is $225, standard chiropractic treatment is $60/visit.
